Maria Obretin (Actress)

Maria Obretin is a Romanian film, theatre and television actress. She graduated from the National University of Theatre and Film “I. L. Caragiale” Bucharest in 2003, in the class of professors Sanda Manu and Ion Cojar, and between 2004 and 2006, she followed an Acting MFA in the class of Adrian Pintea.

In 2005, with her generation colleagues, she founded Desant Theatre, the first laboratory-space dedicated to theatrical research and multidisciplinary experiments in Bucharest.

In cinema, she collaborated with directors such as Gheorghe Preda, Horațiu Mălăele, Doru Nițescu, Dan Chișu, Bogdan Drăgulescu, Ronny Dörfler, Nae Caranfil, Serge Ioan Celebidachi and Corin Hardy.

She has performed on several Bucharest stages (Act Theatre, Monday Theatre – Green Hours, Bulandra Theatre, Very Small Theatre, Comedy Theatre), in projects by young directors, but also in spectacles by Andrei Șerban.

She is popular due to the TV shows Shadows, created by Bogdan Mirică and Igor Cobileanski, in which she played a leading part during the three seasons (2014-2019), and Vlad (final season, 2021).

She was a voice actress for several animated films and series released with dubbing in Romania.

 

Stanislav Tomić (Director)

Stanislav Tomić (b. 1972) graduated Film and TV Directing from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art.

He has directed over 40 documentary films, fiction short and medium-length films, as well as popular TV series.

His films were shown at numerous festivals, among which Sarajevo, Motovun, Teheran, Oberhausen, Edinburgh, Munich, Siena, Warsaw and Trieste. 

His first feature film, Josef (2011), an independent low-budget war film, was very well received by critics and awarded for its special effects.

His second feature, Lavina (2017), a camp and queer comedy, was the opening film of the Croatian national film festival.

His latest feature film, Tune Up (Po tamburi), was selected in 2021 for Pula Film Festival (Croatia), Cinedays Festival of European Film (Skopje, North Macedonia) and Cottbus Film Festival (Germany).

 

Léo Ortuno (Film Critic)

Léo Ortuno is a French film journalist and critic, member of the French Syndicate of Cinema Critics.

He works for the "Court-Circuit" show, dedicated to short films and broadcasted on the French-German cultural TV channel ARTE, as well as for the "Viva Cinéma" show on the pay-TV channel Ciné+.

He also presents film radio shows and podcasts, such as "Contra-Bandes" on Radio Libertaire Paris.

Among other film-related jobs, he worked for Radio Nova Bordeaux, Cinémathèque de Toulouse, Cinéma Jean Eustache (Pessac), Association Française des Cinémas d'Art et d'Essai, Caimans Productions, La Toile and VOD Factory.
